Hawaii County firefighters responded to an early morning blaze at a home in Captain Cook.
The fire broke at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday at a single-story home on Hawaii Belt Road.
Upon arrival, crews saw that the home was entirely collapsed and engulfed in flames. An overhead service line was down in the structure and nearby brush was also burning.
Police closed two lanes of traffic as firefighters worked to put out the blaze.
HELCO crews also responded to disconnect the live service line.
Firefighters had the flames under control at about 1:25 a.m. and extinguished by 3:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
Total damage is estimated $80,000.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
