Child Abuse Prevention Awareness month kicks off with pinwheel display at State Capitol

Pinwheels at the State Capitol

If you drive by the State Capitol this week you’ll see more than 5,000 pinwheels spinning away in the wind on the front lawn.

It’s all part of Child Abuse Prevention Awareness month.

Each pinwheel represents a report made to child protective services in a year.

The pinwheels will be there until next week Sunday.
