Split flow around the Big Island will keep winds light across leeward waters into Wednesday, but maintain light to moderate trade winds across windward waters. Sea breezes will develop leeward each afternoon and bring increased cloud cover and showers, especially over interior and mountain areas. A front will slowly approach the island chain from the northwest after midweek, possibly reaching Kauai Saturday.
