After an inctredible finish to the regular season, earning the 8th and final spot into the MPSF Playoffs, the 14th ranked University of Hawaii Men’s Volleyball team will enter the post-season and beyond without Outside Hitter J.P. Marks.
The Sophomore Swingman, who did not play in Hawaii’s series sweep of UC-San Diego, has been ruled in-eligible for collegiate athletics, thus ending his UH Volleyball career. KHON2 Sports has learned through sources that his disqualification from amateur status for an un-disclosed reason, will not in any way affect any previous victories in either of his two seasons at UH.
In 2013, Marks has the team’s 3rd highest kill total at 278.
The Warriors will open the Conference tournament at top-ranked BYU on Saturday afternoon, at 3pm HST.
