Teachers vote on contract Wednesday

The two year battle over a teacher’s contract could come to an end on Wednesday.

A new contract has been agreed to by the union and the state.

But Wednesday the teacher’s have their say.

They’ll vote on whether or not to approve the deal which restores a 5 percent pay cut imposed by the state and gives teachers at least a three percent pay raise in each of the four years.

There’s also a teacher evaluation process that has to be worked out.

Results are expected Wednesday evening.
