UH employees reach contract agreement with state

More than 2,300 University of Hawaii employees are getting a pay raise.

The Hawaii Government Employees Association has announced a tentative agreement with the state.

The two-year deal covers administrative and technical workers at UH. It includes a four-percent across the board increase for each year and an increase in the employee contribution for health insurance during the second year.

Members are scheduled to vote on Thursday.
