The man who died in a motorcycle crash on the H-3 Freeway on Sunday has been identified.
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s office has identified the victim as 23-year-old Colin Ferguson of Kailua.
The crash happened just after 12 p.m. in the eastbound direction near the Kamehameha Highway overpass.
According to Honolulu Police, Ferguson was speeding, lost control, then crashed into the guardrail. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A witness told police that Ferguson was apparently traveling with another motorcycle and both were speeding, but the other motorcyclist did not stop to help.
Police closed all eastbound lanes of the H-3 Freeway for about three hours.
