For the first installment of On the Farm, covering Hawai’i ballplayers in the Minor Leagues, KHON2 sports is throwing a curveball.

After six solid seasons in the Boston Red Sox system, former Mid-Pac state champion and Rainbows infielder Jon Hee announced his retirement this week.

The 27-year-old 2008 NCAA Gold Glove winner finished his MiLB career with a .978 fielding percentage. Jon now returns home to his fiancé Kelly, a part-owner of Menchies at Ward Center.
