Roosevelt graduate and reigning Canadian Football League Most Outstanding Player Chad Owens had a special guest in the 808 this past week.
The Toronto Argonauts All-Star hosted the Grey Cup, the CFL’s championship prize, which he and his team captured this past season. The visit marked as the first the cup has made to the 50th state in the 100-year-old award’s history.
“Mighty Mouse” took the cup all over Oahu, from his alma-mater, to Waikiki, to Makapu’u before being sent off at Good to Grill in Kapahulu with a Hawaiian-style dinner.
