It’s a mix of aerial artists, fire knife dancers, and paradise on the pool deck of the newly remodeled Queen Kapiolani Hotel.

“All the money in the world and you could never get a view like that,” Aloha Live producer Tuffy Nicholas said.

“Aloha Live” is a brand new dinner show in Waikiki that blends circus acrobatics with Polynesia.

“When the show is going on all these tables and chairs are moved up closer to the stage, you could be as close as two feet from the stage,” Nicholas said.

Producers hired 40 people including cast members from Hawaii, Tahiti, Europe, and Las Vegas.

“Yeah, I was actually a gymnast, nationally ranked and she was an elite dancer,” aerialist Blake Kirkwood said.

But what sets this show apart from the rest and how do they plan to stay in business?

“It’s difficult to do shows here, anywhere, but the climate is getting better. Tourism is coming back, the number of tourism dollars being spent is growing, so we feel real good about this one,” Nicholas said.

Balloon artists and table-side magic also make this experience unique for guests of all ages.

For now, the show runs Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday nights with seating starting at 5 p.m.

“I hope that they take just a piece of beauty and love and just the special nature of seeing live performance art,” aerialist Sara Evenson said.
