Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard is seeking to fill approximately 100 apprenticeship openings.

The Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard Apprentice Program is a partnership between the Shipyard, the U.S. Department of Labor and Honolulu Community College.

Apprentices receive full-time employment, hands-on training, and a tuition-free, Applied Trades degree from HCC.

“We expect the apprentice job announcement to appear on USAJOBS between May 14 through the 20th, but the actual dates may vary slightly,” said Beverly Higa, PHNSY & IMF’s Apprentice Program administrator. “I recommend to anyone interested in applying to go ahead and create an account on the Federal site now. This way, they can set up their resume and other administrative info. Once the application period begins, they will be better poised to apply before the deadline.”

Eligible applicants must be U.S. citizens and 18 years old at the time of appointment. Males are required to be registered with the Selective Service System.
