As the University of Hawai’i baseball team (12-33, 7-14 BWC) get set for their final home-stand of the season against UC-Davis this weekend, one Rainbow in particular will be sorely missed when he bids aloha to the ‘Bows at the end of the season.

Senior third-baseman Pi’ikea Kitamura, a four-year starter, has been an anchor on the left side of the diamond in Manoa.

Number nine is hitting .244 this season with six doubles and 22 RBI.

The captain and 2012 first team All-WAC selection has a bright future in the game of baseball, but while reflecting on senior week, discussed another possible future career opportunity with KHON2.
