Update: Max Ako was captured on Thursday, May 23, for his two warrants in connection with a couple of robbery cases.

On Hawaii’s Most Wanted we feature a man who’s wanted on two warrants.

Honolulu police are looking for Max Ako.

“On July 13, 2009 at 4:12pm, a female was about to make a transaction at a manapua truck on Ala Hema Street, when she was approached by a male and her wallet was grabbed. The male fled in a black vehicle. She was able to provide a description and a license plate number,” said CrimeStoppers Honolulu coordinator Kim Buffett.

Then a couple days later police say Ako robbed a woman at an ATM machine at Waianae Mall.

“The female gave chase and was able to jump on the hood of the car. She was thrown from the vehicle but police did locate the male. He was positively identified by both victims as Max Ako,” said Buffett.

He’s now wanted on two $20,000 warrants in connection with those robbery cases for not following the terms of HOPE Probation.

Max Ako is 33-years-old, 5’7″ and 267 pounds.

“Max is known to frequent the Waipahu and Waianae areas and he has four prior convictions,” Buffett said.
