The high surf got a man in trouble in the waters off the Big Island.

Fire rescue crews were called to the area known as the “end of the world shoreline.”

That was around 5 p.m. Saturday.

A man got caught below a cliff in a small cave with waves crashing around him.

Rescue crews were able to get him out using a boat.

He was taken to Kona Community Hospital in stable condition.
