Alaska Airlines flight diverted after blown tire

Alaska Airlines blown tire

Scary moments for passengers flying to Kona Tuesday.

This afternoon an Alaska Airlines plane was diverted to Honolulu for an emergency landing.

One of the plane’s tires blew after taking off from Seattle.

The plane landed safely 1:05 Tuesday afternoon.

Crews changed the tire, and passengers were shuttled to the terminal for a connecting flight to Kona.

One-hundred and sixty-five people including the flight crew were onboard.

No one was hurt.
