Search continues for Makaha shooting suspect

Honolulu Police are looking for a woman wanted in connection with a shooting in Makaha.

The incident happened Sunday afternoon near the intersection of Farrington Highway and Keaau Homestead Road.

According to police, the victim was seated in her vehicle when she was approached by 32-year-old May Iwa Brewer. Police say Brewer brandished a handgun, demanded money, and struggled for the victim’s property.

During the struggle, the handgun discharged and the bullet grazed the victim’s head.

Brewer then fled in a vehicle operated by an unknown male. She is now wanted for second-degree attempted murder.

The victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Brewer is described as 5’6″ and 250 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.
