Hundreds participate in annual Troy Barboza Law Enforcement Torch Run

Troy Barboza Torch Run

It’s an annual event that always attracts hundreds of people.

Friday night was the Troy Barboza Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.

It started in Waikiki and ended at the Les Murakami Stadium at University of Hawaii at Manoa.

The run is named after fallen Honolulu police officer Troy Barboza, who was killed in 1987.

He was also a coach for Special Olympics.
