Costco offers free Hep-A vaccine after berry recall

Frozen Berry Recall

Costco Wholesale is offering free vaccines in its pharmacies for those who may have eaten berries contaminated with Hepatitis A.

A company spokesman said on Thursday that Costco will reimburse the price of vaccines or administer shots for free to customers who purchased the organic antioxidant blend of frozen berries produced by Townsend Farms.

The announcement comes as the outbreak linked to the berry and pomegranate blend continues to grow.

Three cases have been confirmed in Hawaii.
