A retired couple on Maui is suing the Oregon berry farm linked to the Hepatitis A outbreak.
The lawsuit was filed on Monday on behalf of Janabe and Motoko Caldwell, and all other Hawaii residents who received the Hepatitis A vaccination or shot, or got a blood test to determine if they were infected after eating the Townsend Farms Frozen Berry Blend sold at Costco.
The Caldwells have not yet become infected, but the outbreak has sickened 87 people in eight states, including four people in Hawaii.
Costco pulled the product from store shelves nearly two weeks ago. They’re offering free vaccines in its pharmacies for those who may have consumed the berries.
