New census report reinforces Hawaii’s melting pot reputation

According to the U.S. Census numbers for 2012.

Hawaii is one of five states where minorities make up the “majority” of the population.

About 77 percent of the residents here represent a minority.

Hawaii is also the “only” majority-asian state.

More than 56-percent of the people here are Asian.

Hawaii was also only one of 10 states where “males” made up the majority of the population…with just a “little” more than 50 percent male
