The cause of death for a Kalihi teenager found on Kalanianaole Highway in April has been released.

According to the Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office, 17-year-old Boydshiro Maycry died from blunt force trauma to the head.

Officials believe he may have fallen out of a car.

Maycry’s blood alcohol level was 0.221, which is more than two times over the legal limit.

A patrol officer found his body early in the morning near Sandy Beach.

Maycry’s friends say he wandered off alone before his body was found.
