Chaminade continues to try to control feral cat problem

Chaminade University is taking action to control its feral cat population.

The school is no longer allowing people to feed cats on campus.

Chaminade says it’s been dealing with the feral cat issue for more than two decades, but says it’s challenging especially because people abandon their unwanted cats on campus.

It’s not only a health concern, but a safety issue.

School officials say they’re worried someone might slip on leftover cat food.

In fact, a woman was injured while she was feeding cats on the Chaminade campus.
