Talks continue in the search for the next University of Hawaii president.
The Board of Regents presidential selection committee met on Wednesday at the UH Manoa campus and took comments from the public.
The committee says they’re looking for someone who knows the islands and has experience in Hawaii, too.
“If we know where we want to be, then it helps us look for the person that we want to lead us there. And that is what the selection criteria will be all about,” UH Board of Regents chair John Holzman said.
The committee says it could be six to 10 months before a new president is chosen.
