On Hawaii’s Most Wanted, we are featuring a woman who’s wanted on a warrant in connection with a robbery case.
Honolulu police are looking for Donette Rodrigues.
“On September 6th, 2008 at 12:15 pm, the victim was walking on Nahua Street, carrying her purse, when she was approached by an unknown female who grabbed the purse. They struggled, and a male witness intervened, and was able to grab the purse, while the female fled into a silver SUV. He grabbed the purse from the female, and grabbed another purse at the same time, thinking it belonged to the victim,” Honolulu Police Department Crimestoppers Coordinator Sgt. Kim Buffett said.
It turns out that the second purse belonged to Rodrigues.
She came back to the area several hours later to report that her purse had been stolen.
That’s when police arrested her for robbery.
She’s now wanted on an $11,000 warrant for violating her probation terms.
Donette Rodrigues is 31 years old, 5’2″ tall and 170 pounds.
She has four prior convictions and is known to frequent the Waianae area.
