A large crowd gathered Monday night to voice their thoughts about three high-rise developments projected for Kakaako.
“Where I can work, eat, sleep in the same area. I don’t really have to drive. I have this self-sustaining neighborhood in the urban core,” a supporter said.
“I am not for that proposed development. It is clearly too big for the size of the property where it would be standing. It is just not appropriate,” a testifier who is against one of the Kakaako projects said.
The full board was not present for the meeting, but all comments were taken down by a court reporter, who will submit it to the Hawaii Community Development Authority.
