Often considered one of the best prospects in baseball, Hilo native and former University of Hawai’i second baseman Kolten Wong will fit right at home in MLB’s All-Star weekend.

The Cardinals farmhand is headed to his second Futures Game, a mixture of top prospects from any denomination in the minor leagues, to represent the United States versus the World.

The 2011 first round pick is hitting .319 with a .839 OPS in AAA Memphis this season, including 5 home runs.

The Futures Game will take place on Sunday, July 14th at Citi Field.
