Prosecutor’s say a convicted drunk-driver just can’t seem to stay out of trouble.
James Ilalio was arrested earlier this week.
This is his eighth arrest for DUI.
In 2005, Ilalio was convicted of habitual drunk driving and sentenced to five years in prison.
He also had his license permanently revoked.
“Whether it’s a first offense or a habitual offense, these guys are a danger to the public. It’s not fair to the innocent people on the road,” said deputy prosecutor Adrian Dhakwa.
Ilalio remains in custody. His bail is set at $100,000.
He’s scheduled to be in court on July 5.
A habitual drunk driver is a person with three DUI’s within a 10-year period.
