Hawaii Pacific University laying off staff members

Hawaii Pacific University is preparing for changes in the future and it’s starting by cutting staff.

On Friday, the school said it is laying off a small number of workers, but would not specify how many.

According to HPU, only administrative staff were laid off and no faculty cuts were made.

An official said over the next five years, the school wants to be in the top 10 master’s-granting universities in the western U.S.
