Anyone looking to celebrate the Fourth of July with a bang may be out of luck.
According to the Honolulu Fire Department, there’s only one retailer on the island selling firecrackers.
The retailer is Bo Wah Trading on Maunakea Street in Chinatown. They’re reportedly all sold out of firecrackers.
HFD said only 43 permits were sold for the Fourth of July holiday.
Sparklers and other novelty fireworks are now illegal.
