A report conducted by the Healthcare Association of Hawaii says they have a better idea of Hawaii’s major problems with healthcare.
The new report was conducted in 26 of the state’s 28 hospitals.
Research found that all islands except Oahu were short on medical services.
It also looked at hospitalization rates.
“One of the things that jumped out at me when we looked at these issues was mental health, when you looked at hospitalizations, doubled the second largest issue that was identified,” Healthcare Association of Hawaii CEO George Green said.
Researchers hope by identifying health problems in the islands, they can be fixed.
