Naked and Afraid is a new reality TV series on the Discovery Channel.

Each week a new pair of strangers gets dropped in some part of the world – buck naked! No clothes, no food, no water.

Their goal is to survive on their own in the elements.

A woman from Hawaii is going to be on the show.

Allison Teal was one of two people left on an island in the Maldives for 21 days.

“And I have to tell you about an hour after we got on the show I forgot I was naked. It was 24-7 survival, how am I going to stay alive, how are we going to make it through this,” said Teal.

Although she grew up tagging along with her photo-journalist parents all over the world, they’ve always returned home to the Big Island.

Teal’s segment will air Sunday, July 7 at 7 p.m. on the Discovery Channel.
