2 OCCC inmates fail to return from work furlough program

UPDATE: Jeremy Casella turned himself in to OCCC on Monday at 9 p.m.

Honolulu police and sheriffs are looking for two Oahu Community Correctional Center inmates who failed to return from a work furlough program.

According to police, 30-year-old Jeremy Casella was supposed to return to the facility at 3:30 a.m. Sunday. When he did not return from his job, HPD and sheriffs were notified.

Casella is described as 5’11” and 161 pounds.

He is currently serving time for second-degree robbery.

According to the Department of Public Safety, the second inmate — 43-year-old Jason Gomes — was supposed to return to OCCC at 4:30 p.m. Sunday after he finished work.

When Gomes did not return, HPD and sheriffs were notified.

Gomes is described as 5’9″ and 209 pounds.

Gomes is also currently serving time for second-degree robbery.

Anyone with information about the two men are asked to call police.
