A Board of Water Supply contractor will be working on Ward Avenue between Kapiolani Boulevard and South King Street July 10, July 16, and July 17 to install new water service connections.
The work will take place on Wednesday, July 10, Tuesday, July 16, and Wednesday, July 17, from 8:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. each day.
The work was originally scheduled for Wednesday, July 10 through Friday, July 12, has been rescheduled to minimize the impact to affected BWS customers in the area.
This night work will close one mauka-bound lane and one makai-bound lane on Ward Avenue.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes if possible. Drivers traveling through the construction area are asked to abide by the posted traffic signs and to allow for additional travel time.
This construction activity is part of the ongoing Water System Improvement Project on Ward Avenue from Kinau Street to Kapiolani Boulevard.
When completed, the project will enhance water service to area residents and businesses by improving fire protection and reducing the likelihood of water main breaks.
