Maui firefighters put out a brush fire on Maui Monday morning.

The fire broke out at about 3 p.m. Saturday in the mountains off Piilani Highway near Manawainui Gulch.

The fire was contained 100 percent on Sunday but crews remained on the site to make sure there aren’t any flare-ups.
