4 displaced after Kaneohe house fire

The Honolulu Fire Department responded to a three-story house fire in Kaneohe early Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out just before 12:30 a.m. on Kuneki Way in Haiku Village.

According to HFD Capt. Terry Seelig, the two-alarm fire was brought under control in about 20 minutes.

Two people were home at the time of the fire and they were able to escape with their dog and cat. Two other residents were not home when the fire started.

The fire was extinguished shortly after 1 a.m.

Officials say the four-bedroom home was damaged mainly in the back and about 50 percent of the house was burned.

Damage is estimated at $350,000,

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
