Board of Water Supply crews responded to a leak in an 6-inch waterline on Farrington Highway near St. Joseph School in Waipahu.

The possible leak was reported at approximately 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The repair work had resulted in the closure of the far left westbound lane of Farrington Highway between Hanawai Circle and Makamaka Place.

Farrington Highway was reopened at 10 p.m. due to the section of the waterline being located within a slope off of the roadway, and additional equipment and materials are needed for the work to continue.

Board of Water Supply crews will reschedule the work to complete the repair.

No customers are without water service at this time.
