The state Department of Health is urging students to get tested for tuberculosis because students head back to class in about two weeks.
Doctors offices resumed the skin tests this week after a nationwide shortage of supplies put testing on hold since April.
Clinics have extended their hours to meet pent up demand.
“We’re not too busy, there aren’t lines. We’re ready to serve large numbers of people. So come on in and get your skin test,” said Dr. Elizabeth MacNeill of the state Department of Health.
The tests are free.
There are seven sites on Oahu to get tested.
