New information Sunday regarding the limousine fire that killed five women on the San Mateo Bridge in Northern California in May.
The San Jose Mercury News interviewed the estranged wife of the limousine driver. She said that she and her husband had been arguing on the phone and that he had turned the music up.
One of the survivors said she tried to warn the driver that the back was filling up with smoke, but she said he wouldn’t listen.
The nine women in the limousine were celebrating the wedding of Neriza Fojas.
She lived in California, but her sister and other family members live in Hawaii.
