Honolulu fire officials have completed their investigation of a fire at 1095 Beretania Street. Officials have classified the cause of the fire as incendiary.
Fire officials have referred results of their investigation over to the Honolulu Police Department arson investigators.
The fire that started Saturday around 5:50 p.m. destroyed an older, unoccupied home.
Firefighters fought the two-alarm fire with six engines, two ladders, a rescue unit and a battalion chief – approximately 45 firefighters.
No one was injured and damage is estimated at $225,000.
The fire was brought under control by 6:19 p.m. and extinguished by 6:53 p.m.
