Kamehameha Highway reopened in Wahiawa after vehicle crashes into pole

Honolulu police reopened Kamehameha Highway in Wahiawa after a vehicle crashed into a pole.

According to police dispatch, the vehicle struck the utility pole at about 11:30 a.m. Monday.

The crash forced police to shut down traffic in the south-bound direction at the Karsten Thot Bridge.

Traffic was contraflowed for about an hour-and-a-half.

Police reopened both directions of Kamehameha Highway shortly before 1:30 p.m.
