Board of Water Supply crews have reopened all lanes of Ward Avenue between South King Street and Kapiolani Boulevard after a waterline repair Thursday morning.
BWS finished replacing an 8-inch waterline near Hawaiian Electric Company.
During ongoing construction work on the Ward Avenue project, a leak was discovered on a nearby waterline, originally installed in 1975, that connects the Neal Blaisdell Center with the Ward Avenue main.
The BWS responded, dug up the waterline, and found that it had degraded significantly, requiring replacement with a new waterline that will be connected to the new main.
