Honolulu police are investigating the discovery of a body on Punahou Street.
The call came in around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
According to the Honolulu Emergency Services Department, the body is that of a woman in her 50s. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The ex-husband of the person who owns that house discovered the body,” Honolulu Police Department Major Rich Robinson said.
According to police, the victim’s body was wrapped in carpet.
Sources say the body had multiple stab wounds.
“There are injuries that would indicate it’s a homicide,” Maj. Robinson said.
The victim’s car was initially missing, but police later located her vehicle.
No arrests have been made at this time.
Police have opened a second-degree murder investigation.
