Mike McCartney, president and CEO of the Hawaii Tourism Authority, has released a statement asking for “visitors and residents adhere to all warnings and alerts issued by the National Weather Service, Civil Defense and the counties” due to the National Weather Service placing Oahu, Maui County and Hawaii County under a Tropical Storm Warning as Tropical Storm Flossie nears the Hawaiian Islands.

McCartney states that some airlines have begun announcing flight adjustments and that visitors should contact their airlines and hotels to confirm their travel plans.
