The Hawaiian Humane Society wanted to educate our viewers on how you can prepare for Tropical Storm Flossie if you have pets.

“There is no reason that any member of a family should be left behind, including those that are feathered or furry,” Maria Glidden states.

“Animals will not be admitted to a pet-friendly emergency shelter without a crate or carrier (one per pet only) that’s large enough to accommodate the pet comfortably. Pets need an ID tag, collar and a leash, as well as a week supply of the following: food, medications and litter for cats. You can download our disaster preparedness brochure for more information.”
