Big Island, Maui County public libraries closed due to Flossie

In anticipation of the potential threat of Tropical Storm Flossie, and for the health and safety of patrons and staff, all public libraries on the Big Island and Maui County will be closed on Monday, according to State Librarian Richard Burns.

The following Big Island public libraries that are normally open on Mondays will be closed on July 29:

  • Honokaa
  • Keaau
  • Kealakekua
  • Laupahoehoe
  • Mountain View
  • Naalehu
  • North Kohala
  • Pahala
  • Pahoa

In addition, the following Maui County public libraries that are normally open on Mondays will be closed on July 29:

  • Hana
  • Lanai
  • Makawao
  • Molokai
  • Wailuku
