Power restored to customers in Kailua

Hawaiian Electric Company crews have restored power to all affected customers in Kailua late Wednesday night.

The outage was initially reported at about 2:15 p.m. Wednesday when a construction truck hit power lines on Hele Street.

The accident damaged three utility poles and caused an outage that affected 2,600 customers.

Crews repaired three damaged utility poles just before 11:30 p.m. Wednesday and power was restored power to all affected residents.
