Governors across the nation gathered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Friday including Hawaii’s own Gov. Neil Abercrombie.
This was for the National Governors Association summer meeting, where governors had the chance to discuss a variety of issues facing their states.
Among the topics were innovations in workforce training and employment services to create jobs and increase family incomes, as well as veterans and homeland security preparedness.
“It may be that the states will lead the way in recreating the confidence of the country as a whole in terms of looking to the future,” Gov. Neil Abercrombie said.
The meeting continues through Sunday.
