Positive-vibes on Day 2 of the University of Hawaii football team’s training camp despite already having to deal with inevitable injuries.

The receiving core was without two feature players this morning.

Senior Billy Ray Stutzmann is still recovering from minor-injuries suffered in a single-car accident on Wednesday night. Stutzmann says he’s feeling okay, but still not fully cleared.

Also unavailable Saturday was highly-touted junior college transfer Vasquez Haynes. The number 1 wideout suffered an injury on a play in Friday’s practice. But head coach Norm Chow is not concerned over his status.

Speaking of the dance, the special teams unit will need to replace its long-snapper, punter, and kick-returner from 2012.

KHON2’s Sam Spangler caught-up with the big-bad-boss-man of special teams, Coach Chris Demarest in today’s video interview.

The Rainbow Warriors will be back on the field tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 p.m. to prepare for the kickoff to the 2013 season against USC.
