A man who died in a single-vehicle crash on the Big Island has been identified.
Big Island police say 54-year-old Dino Capello of Mountain View was a passenger in the Honda SUV that struck a utility pole on North Glenwood Road Wednesday afternoon.
Police say the driver, 36-year-old Patrick Agcalon of Mountain View, and Capello died at the scene.
According to police, Capello was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash, but Agcalon was not.
Police believe speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.
This is the 21st traffic fatality on the Big Island this year compared with 23 at the same time last year.
