So many kids have learned to swim over the years, thanks to Leahi Swim School.
The school is now in its 40th year of teaching kids how to stay afloat and swim.
On Saturday, lawmakers presented special honors to the school congratulating the family owned business for the milestone anniversary.
“We’re just trying to promote swimming in Hawaii and just get the word out there, and have fun with the kids and teach them how to swim,” Leahi Swim School President Ben Komer said.
And swimming isn’t only fun, it’s also a life saving skill, especially living here on an island.
